I am Susan Ross and I studied at the ancient University of Aberdeen. Before becoming a tour guide, I had a very satisfying career in healthcare. I have lived all over Scotland and now am very lucky to be near Stirling, on the edge of Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park! I also enjoy my role as Trustee on the Board of the iconic National Wallace Monument. Scotland’s great tribute to William Wallace, a national hero.
I enjoy cooking tasty Scottish food such as wild salmon, venison or Scotch lamb. I am a very keen photographer and have put together some highlights of our tours in this short video. I took all the photographs – apart from those with me included!
I really care about giving clients a great tour and take time to find out about their interests.
I am passionate about exploring new places, and have enjoyed trekking in the Canadian Rockies, New Zealand, Iceland, Tasmania and even honeymooned in Nepal! Whilst at home in Scotland I enjoy hillwalking in our two great national parks. My guests say that I give them a fun tour, and have a warm and affectionate personality. I think this is because I love taking them to all my favourite places in Scotland!
