Glengoyne, straddling the Highland and Lowland whisky border boasts a long-standing use of unpeated malt. The slow rate of distillation is also distinctive. Only 12 miles from Glasgow the picture postcard distillery has a selection of tours.
Once a cotton mill and sitting on the River Teith, Deanston Distillery has a tasting room for the discerning whisky lover. From here your Whisky trail takes you to the Famous Grouse Experience near Crieff or Tullibardine at Auchterarder.
