A tour of Scotland’s finest whisky distilleries

Scotch Whisky

Scotland has almost 100 malt distilleries. To most people across the world the roots of whisky lie in the Scottish Highlands. Scotch whisky is at the heart of many of our celebrations. To welcome in the New Year (Hogmanay), Burn’s Suppers, birthdays and weddings.

Press Cask Filling

This is an exciting Whisky Trail which is easily accessible from Glasgow, Edinburgh, Stirling or Perth. Choose your favourite drams from the four distillery options. Each one has a fascinating history and different character.

Copper Still Whisky

Just three simple ingredients of barley, yeast and water. Yet no other spirit attracts the same degree of dedication and loyalty. How does it weave such magic? Is it the intoxicating mix of craftsmanship, history and mystery?

famous grouse tasting

The Whisky Trail will include two or three from Deanston Distillery, Glengoyne Distillery, Tullibardine Distillery and the Famous Grouse Experience. Some of the special tasting sessions need advance booking and some even allow you to create your own whisky!

Glengoyne distillery

Glengoyne, straddling the Highland and Lowland whisky border boasts a long-standing use of unpeated malt. The slow rate of distillation is also distinctive. Only 12 miles from Glasgow the picture postcard distillery has a selection of tours.

deanston distillery

Once a cotton mill and sitting on the River Teith, Deanston Distillery has a tasting room for the discerning whisky lover. From here your Whisky trail takes you to the Famous Grouse Experience near Crieff or Tullibardine at Auchterarder.
