Desperate Dan is one of the longest running comic strips in the world having appeared in issue 1 of The Dandy in 1937 and continues to appear in The Dandy today. Saw him this week set against the magnificent Caird Hall in Dundee. It is the principal concert auditorium in Dundee, Scotland. Built between 1914 and 1923 and is named after its benefactor, jute baron James Key Caird. Well worth a look as Dundee is one of Scotland's most artistic and creative hubs.
