Dive into 2025

Happy private tour guests enjoy Glencoe

New 2025 private tours

We had some wonderful guests touring with us this year. From the US, Canada, Australia, Europe and many more besides. Most were new to Sublime Scotland BUT we also loved having guests on return visits. Each and every one had worked with us to create a perfect private tour for them.

Isle of Arran

We enjoyed our first private tour to Arran. John and Susan have often explored Arran in their own leisure time, so it was especially rewarding to share this amazing island with guests from afar. A wonderful boat trip to allow us to hike on the spiritual Holy Isle was one highlight. Another was discovering the ancient stone circles of Machrie Moor on Arran. A wee dram was on offer at the new Lagg Distillery with views to die for during coffee or lunch in the cafe. Just a one hour ferry ride from the Scottish mainland, this is one amazing trip to consider for 2025.

North Coast 500

The NC500 has been compared with Route 66 in the U.S. Of course it is much shorter at only 500 miles! However the beaches are stunning, the history along the way reaches back 1000's of years, and the mountains loom out of the land with astonishing regularity. Look out too for magnificent wild deer on the mountainside. Of course it can be busy at times, but Sublime Scotland has all the local knowldge to avoid the crowds and give you space to soak up this amazing region.

Secret Argyll

This is definitely one of our favourite corners of Scotland. Secret Argyll and the Cowal Peninsula are perfect for a private tour with less travelling required, less tourists around and so much to see! Stunning coastlines, fabulous easy hiking trails, and easily accessed islands so full of history and wonderful buildings. The Island of Bute also hosts one of the best Highland Games across Scotland which can be fitted into any private tour in the middle of August.

Stunning Stirling

Of course, a visit to historic Stirling in central Scotland can be a very good plan. If you base yourselves here for a few days we offer day tours travelling north, south, east OR west! Enjoy a stunning cycle ride along the shores of Loch Katrine in the Trossachs National Park? Follow a visit to the magnificent medieval Stirling Castle by popping into one of our true hidden gems - the Church of the Holy Rude. Walk in the footsteps of Scotland's Stewart Kings and Queens whilst listening to the stories of the local people who lived here over the centuries.

Remember to say hello to the Kelpies as you travel from Edinburgh and admire the tallest equine sculpture in the world. We were lucky to visit recently when some of the most beautiful Clydesdales Horses in the country were also saying hello to Archie and Duke.

Private tour just for you

Whatever you enjoy on holiday or vacation, we will create the perfect tour for you. Anything from two days to ten days, staying within one or two regions, or travelling many miles every day. We know all the favourite and famous places but more importantly we have many ideas for places well off the beaten track. Just ask! Sit back. Relax. And enjoy your trip.

The 6-day tour of Scotland was amazing. John was our guide and he was so easy to be with, took us to places beyond our expectations, and provided us with history and entertaining stories along the way. Florence G, Sept 2024
